Goodbye Quartzite

Over the past two weeks we have had the pleasure of being at the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous in Quartzsite, Arizona and we had a wonderful time! There are rocks everywhere! A rock lover’s dream! The shops are very interesting too!

We went to the Big Tent RV Show which is Quartzsite’s greatest attraction. The normal population in Quartzsite is about 3,500 which explodes to about 1.5 million peopl over January and February. This is mainly due to a large amount of BLM land (Free Camping), the RV show, the Rock and Jem Show, and a comfortable temperature, great for snowbirds.

We also had a wonderful time meeting with great people traveling in their vehicles. We had a variety of people living in different vehicles, ranging from a Toyota Prius to converted cargo trailers to Class A RV’s. The company was spectacular, but now it is time to move on.

The country is big…. Who knows where to now!
